There are many things to see in Rome, here are some "must see":

- Piazza di Spagna (you can go up and down the Spanish Steps, a very nice view of Rome)
- Fontana di Trevi (not far from Piazza di Spagna)
- Fori Romani (Roman Forum). There is a nice view from the Piazza del municipio behind the Altare della Patria (Piazza Venezia) but you will need to go up a lot of stairs.
- Key Hole and Rose Garden. You will need a cab to go here unless you are by the Colosseo (Colosseum) already. It is about a 10 minute walk from the Colosseo. Ask direction to the Giardino degli Aranci or Roseto (rose garden). Go to the "Cavalieri di Malta" square and ask directions to the key hole (you should see a line of people)...look thru the hole...and you will see....surprise!
- Villa Borghese and "Pincio" (nice view of Rome)
- Trastevere and Piazza Campo di Fiori (hangout place, remember in Italy you can walk around with a beer!!)
- Piazza Navona and Via della Pace (always crowded after dinner). Good spot to sit down, have a drink and relax after dinner.
- Pantheon and Giolitti (the best gelato), Caffe Sant' Eustachio (best espresso)
- San Pietro and Cappella Sistina. Castel Sant'Angelo

What about food? Below is a list of buoni (good) ristoranti and pizzerie.

- La corte dei Leoni (Via San Basilio, 70, Phone # 06.4819005). Good restaurant)
- Al 34 Via Mario dei Fiori,34 Phone # 06.795091) Excellent roman food (the mozzarella di bufala is a must)
- Miraggio (via della Lungara, Phone # 06.6875319). You will need to take a cab since it is near Trastevere. You can go there and then walk around Trastevere at night...very romantic. It is a casual restaurant (jeans are ok) and has good pizza.
- La Montecarlo Pizzeria (vc. savelli 13, Phone # 06.6861877)- this is VERY casual and cheap but is also one of the best pizza places in Rome. It is near Piazza campo di Fiori and behind Piazza Navona. Order Fiori di Zucca...my favorite.

- Nightlife...in case you feel like it..: Testaccio (via dei monti Testaccio) (it is an area where they have lots of little restaurants and bars to hang out any day of the week). You will need a cab (it is 15-20 minutes from the city center).
